Face the truth!!!

TV Watching
In this land of Gandhi, it appears that nobody follows Gandhi… Follow the Gandhian principle of ‘see no evil’. Why do you not simply switch off the TV?
This was the statement made by the Delhi high court Chief Justice A P Shah and Justice Manmohan.
A very impressive statement which slaps real hard on the face of everyone who does moral policing.
The court rejected the Public interest litigation against the TV reality show Sach Ka Saamna (Face the Truth) which is the Indian version of the American reality show The Moment of truth.
The judges further said,
Our culture is not so fragile that it will be affected by one TV show. Moreover, nobody in his individual capacity can be allowed to take upon the social order and ask for directions.
How true, this verdict really matters in the current situation where moral policing has crossed limits. Girls beaten up in pubs, attacking young girls for going out with their boyfriends and not to forget when there was a huge protest(???) when actress Kushboo advised to take safety measures while involving in premarital relationship.
I am not sure whether the show has brought out the truth of many people but it is certain that it has brought out the hypocrisy of various ministers and parliamentarians. – Justice Shah.
Are we so conservative? The answer is NO!!!. We are just hypocrites as Justice Shah pointed out.
The politicians should look into other serious issues rather than raising voices in the parliament on a TV show I watch in my bedroom.
In fact the show has got its free advertising through our politicians.
The political parties which takes moral policing as their weapon should understand that they are distancing themselves away from the common man.
Also, colleges which have strict dress codes should look into it again. It is understandable if the college advises the students to wear something decent. Also it is the responsibility of a student to know the difference between fashion and obscenity.
Recently I saw a guy at a movie hall with a printed T-Shirt which clearly had graphical content of sexual intercourse and words that explained it.
I definitely would have had a laugh about the content among my friends in private. But I would not thrust it on the face of people who do not appreciate it.
It is also our responsibility to differentiate between good and bad and enjoy things we like but without hurting others rights and feelings.
